One of the main places in C.S. Lewis’ Narnia tales is there, where the great Lion comes to the land that has been frozen in an endless winter for years.

The moment after everything begins to melt.
Small shoots bursts into flowers.
Frozen surfaces become living roads and silence becomes chirping birds and growing grass.
Dead statues come alive again.

One of the great battles in every person’s life is between the obvious expected and gratitude.
That we take most things for granted.
That we are well and have each other and have everything.
Until we don’t have it anymore.
Finally, we see what we had.
And how much we miss it.
And how grateful we would be if we could get it back.

Suddenly she turned to us and asked, ‘Who photographed all these lunatics? I’ll bet he’s madder than they are’.
I thought it was great.
When you don’t feel obliged to do things, it inevitably shows through.”
