Η Αθήνα αποκτά τον δικό της θεσμό φωτογραφίας δρόμου.
Το T.A.F. / the art foundation παρουσιάζει από τις 14 έως τις 17 Μαΐου 2026, το Athens Street Photography Festival (ASPF) που θα συστήσει στο κοινό το πρώτο διεθνές φεστιβάλ αφιερωμένο αποκλειστικά στη φωτογραφία δρόμου, μετατρέποντας την πόλη σε σημείο αναφοράς για δημιουργούς από όλο τον κόσμο.
Αλεξάνδρα Αυλωνίτη
Το φεστιβάλ φιλοδοξεί να καλύψει ένα μεγάλο κενό στον εγχώριο πολιτιστικό χάρτη και να καθιερωθεί ως μια κορυφαία διοργάνωση για τη σύγχρονη αστική φωτογραφία. Χαρακτηριστικά είναι τα ονόματα των φωτογράφων που έχουν συμμετοχή σε αυτό με κορυφαίο αυτό του Έλληνα Νίκου Οικονομόπουλου του πρακτορείου Magnum αλλά και πολλών άλλων.
Πέρα από την διεθνή έκθεση και τα εγκαίνια αυτής την Πέμπτη στις 14.05 στις 19:00 το ASPF έρχεται με έναν πλούσιο και πολυσύνθετο χαρακτήρα: talks, portfolio reviews, photowalks σε σημεία της πόλης και workshops από διεθνείς και Έλληνες καταξιωμένους φωτογράφους συνθέτουν ένα πρόγραμμα που φέρνει τη θεωρία σε άμεση επαφή με την πράξη και την εμπειρία του δρόμου.
Με φρέσκια ματιά και ανοιχτή διάθεση για διάλογο, το φεστιβάλ που διοργανώνεται από φωτογράφους δρόμου και στοχεύει να αναδείξει την καλλιτεχνική δύναμη της στιγμιαίας αφήγησης, να εμπνεύσει τους συμμετέχοντες και να οικοδομήσει μια νέα κοινότητα γύρω από τη σύγχρονη φωτογραφία στον δρόμο.
Το ASPF απευθύνει ανοιχτή πρόσκληση σε φωτογράφους, λάτρεις της τέχνης και στο ευρύτερο κοινό να γίνουν μέρος της πρώτης αυτής διοργάνωσης στηρίζοντάς την με την συμμετοχή τους.

Ο Σπύρος Παπασπυρόπουλος είναι Έλληνας φωτογράφος δρόμου και ιδρυτής του Street Hunters, μιας διεθνούς πλατφόρμας αφιερωμένης στη φωτογραφία δρόμου. Ζει και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα, όπου αντλεί έμπνευση από την αστείρευτη ενέργεια της πόλης και αποτυπώνει με το δικό του ιδιαίτερο βλέμμα αυθεντικές, απρόβλεπτες στιγμές της καθημερινότητας. Μαργαρίτα Μαυρομιχάλη
Το ενδιαφέρον κυρίως εστιάζεται στη φωτογραφία δρόμου και στα στοιχεία της καθημερινότητας και της επικαιρότητας, καθώς και στα πορτρέτα και αυτό-πορτρέτα. Η δουλειά της έχει εκτεθεί διεθνώς σε σειρά εκθέσεων, επιλεγμένα δε έργα της αποτελούν μέρος των μόνιμων συλλογών του Museum of the City of New York και του Brooklyn Historical Society. Φωτογραφική δουλειά της έχει δημοσιευθεί στη Wall Street Journal και στην Huffington Post, ενώ έργα της έχουν συμπεριληφθεί σε σειρά φωτογραφικών εκδόσεων όπως teNeues, Prestel and Hoxton Mini Press. Η Μ.Μ. έχει λάβει σειρά διακρίσεων, όπως νικήτρια του Pollux Award (2016), του Julia Margaret Cameron Award (2018 και 2020), του χρυσού μεταλλίου του Budapest International Foto Awards. Ανδρέας Καμουτσής
Ο Ανδρέας Καμουτσής γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στην Αθήνα το 1979. Σπούδασε πληροφορική και εργάστηκε στον τομέα αυτό μέχρι το 2013. Εκ τότε τον κέρδισε η Τέχνη της Φωτογραφίας, την οποία ασκεί ως σήμερα επαγγελματικά, παραδίδοντας εργαστήρια φωτογραφίας δρόμου στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Από το 2016 είναι επίσημος φωτογράφος της Fujifilm hellas. το 2020 ίδρυσε την φωτογραφική ομάδα Spontaneous Shooters, την μεγαλύτερη φωτογραφική κοινότητα με γνώμονα την φωτογραφία δρόμου στην Αθήνα. Πολλές από τις φωτογραφίες του & άρθρα του έχουν δημοσιευθεί σε έντυπα, εφημερίδες, περιοδικά και στο διαδίκτυο στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Έχει παρουσιάσει το φωτογραφικό του έργο μέσω ομιλιών και παρουσιάσεων σε πολλές πόλεις στην Ελλάδα. Το portfolio του περιλαμβάνει τρεις ατομικές εκθέσεις και μία έκδοση φωτογραφικού λευκώματος, το “Μια Θέση Ανάμεσά Τους”. Ο τρόπος που φωτογραφίζει εκφράζει μια προσπάθεια προσωπικής προσαρμογής στο διαρκώς μεταβαλλόμενο περιβάλλον της σύγχρονης πραγματικότητας.

Ηλίας Κοσίντας
Ο Ηλίας Κοσίντας γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1968. Σπούδασε φωτογραφία στη σχολή Focus. Από το 1989 δουλεύει ως επαγγελματίας φωτογράφος. Η καλλιτεχνική του δουλειά έχει εκτεθεί και εκδοθεί σε διάφορες ατομικές και ομαδικές εκθέσεις και βιβλία. Παρακολούθησε σεμινάρια στην Aegean School for the Fine Arts και υπήρξε μέλος του φωτογραφικού κύκλου και έχει παρακολουθήσει σεμινάρια του Νίκου Οικονομόπουλου και του Larry Towell. Παράλληλα έχει διδάξει στις σχολές Focus, Leica Academy, στην «Παρέμβαση» και ως βοηθός του Κωνσταντίνου Μανου στα Maine Photographic Workshops. Το έργο του επικεντρώνεται στην καθημερινή ζωή και τις απλές αφηγήσεις της. Η φωτογραφία του πραγματεύεται την καθημερινότητα ως απώτατη έμπνευση και το ασήμαντο ως αισθητική εμπειρία.

ASPF: A New International Street Photography Festival Premieres in Athens | 14.05-17.05.26
Athens is gaining its own street photography institution.
T.A.F. / the art foundation presents from May 14 to May 17, 2026, the Athens Street Photography Festival (ASPF) will introduce the public to the first international festival dedicated exclusively to street photography, transforming the city into a reference point for creators from around the world.
The festival aims to fill a significant gap in the local cultural landscape and establish itself as a leading event for contemporary urban photography. Notably, it features distinguished photographers, including renowned Greek Magnum photographer Nikos Economopoulos, among many others.
Beyond the international exhibition and its opening on Thursday, May 14 at 19:00, ASPF presents a rich and multifaceted program: talks, portfolio reviews, photowalks across the city, and workshops led by acclaimed international and Greek photographers. Together, these activities create a program that brings theory into direct contact with practice and the lived experience of the street.
With a fresh perspective and an open approach to dialogue, the festival—organized by street photographers—aims to highlight the artistic power of spontaneous storytelling, inspire participants, and build a new community around contemporary street photography.
ASPF extends an open invitation to photographers, art enthusiasts, and the wider public to become part of this inaugural event by supporting it through their participation

About the Contributors
Spyros Papaspyropoulos
Spyros Papaspyropoulos is a Greek street photographer and founder of Street Hunters, an international platform dedicated to street photography. He lives and works in Athens, drawing inspiration from the city’s inexhaustible energy and capturing authentic, unpredictable moments of everyday life through his distinctive perspective.
He has been invited as a speaker, instructor, and judge at international festivals such as LSPF (London, 2017), PhosAthens (2017 & 2018), PhoSBucharest (Romania, 2018), PhoSSofia (Bulgaria, 2018), VSLOX (2019), and PSPi (2025).
His work has been featured in major publications including StreetFotografie (Franzis), Flashgun (Eyeshot), Fujilove Quarterly #3, EyeEm Machina #4, APF Magazine, and Korean Monthly Photography #584. He has also given interviews and presentations for international platforms such as ISO400, StreetPhotography.com, the Fujilove podcast, APF Magazine, and Valerie Jardin’s podcast Hit the Streets.
Through Street Hunters and the Street Hunts video series, he shares knowledge and experiences with the global community, supporting the vision that public space should remain free for creative expression.

Margarita Mavromichali
Her work focuses primarily on street photography, elements of everyday life and current affairs, as well as portraits and self-portraits. Her work has been exhibited internationally in numerous exhibitions, and selected works are part of the permanent collections of the Museum of the City of New York and the Brooklyn Historical Society.
Her photography has been published in The Wall Street Journal and The Huffington Post, and her work has appeared in several photography publications such as teNeues, Prestel, and Hoxton Mini Press.
She has received multiple distinctions, including the Pollux Award (2016), the Julia Margaret Cameron Award (2018 and 2020), and a gold medal at the Budapest International Foto Awards. She was also shortlisted for the 2019 Prix Pictet Hope Award and the prestigious Leica Oskar Barnack Award (2023). Most recently, she was selected as a finalist for the Eyeshot Open Call 2025.

Andreas Kamoutsis
Andreas Kamoutsis was born and raised in Athens in 1979. He studied computer science and worked in the field until 2013. Since then, he has been fully dedicated to the art of photography, working professionally and leading street photography workshops in Greece and abroad.
Since 2016, he has been an official photographer for Fujifilm Hellas. In 2020, he founded the photography group Spontaneous Shooters, now the largest street photography community in Athens.
Many of his photographs and articles have been published in newspapers, magazines, and online platforms in Greece and internationally. He has presented his work through talks and presentations in numerous cities across Greece.
His portfolio includes three solo exhibitions and a published photobook titled “A Place Among Them.” His photographic approach reflects an ongoing attempt to adapt personally to the ever-changing environment of contemporary reality.

Ilias Cosindas
Ilias Cosindas was born in Athens in 1968. He studied photography at Focus School and has been working as a professional photographer since 1989. His artistic work has been exhibited and published in various solo and group exhibitions and books.
He has attended seminars at the Aegean School of Fine Arts, was a member of the “Photographic Circle,” and has participated in seminars by Nikos Economopoulos and Larry Towell.
He has also taught at Focus School, Leica Academy, and “Paremvasi,” and worked as an assistant to Constantine Manos at the Maine Photographic Workshops.
His work focuses on everyday life and its simple narratives, approaching daily experience as a primary source of inspiration and elevating the ordinary into an aesthetic experience.
