Ο Marcus Bleasdale είναι Βρετανός φωτορεπόρτερ, γεννημένος στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο από οικογένεια Ιρλανδών.

Έχει εκδώσει τρία βιβλία: «Εκατό Χρόνια Σκοτάδι» που καταγράφει τη ζωή κατά μήκος του ποταμού Κονγκό μετά την ανατροπή του Μομπούτου, «Ο βιασμός ενός έθνους» που τεκμηριώνει την εκμετάλλευση των φυσικών πόρων στο Ανατολικό Κονγκό και πιο πρόσφατα, «Η αποκάλυψη», που καταγράφει τη βάναυση σύγκρουση στο Δημοκρατία Κεντρικής Αφρικής.
Το έργο του για τα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα και τις συγκρούσεις έχει παρουσιαστεί στη Γερουσία των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών, στη Βουλή των Αντιπροσώπων των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών, στα Ηνωμένα Έθνη και στη Βουλή του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου.
