Βασίλης Νεμπεγλεριώτης – City of A
Χτισμένη στην καρδιά του θεσσαλικού κάμπου, η Λάρισα κατοικείται αδιάλειπτα εδώ και χιλιάδες χρόνια. Από την αρχαία ακρόπολη του Φρουρίου ως τον Άγιο Αχίλλειο και τα σύγχρονα τσιμεντένια οικοδομικά τετράγωνα, η πόλη φέρει επάνω της στρώσεις χρόνου και ζωής — ένας τόπος μεταίχμιος, ανάμεσα σε γεωργικό παρελθόν και αστικό παρόν.
Σ’ αυτό το ταμπλό, επιστρέφω στους δρόμους όπου μεγάλωσα, αναζητώντας μέσα από τη φωτογραφική περιήγηση το εσωτερικό μου τοπίο. Μαζί μου, το παιδί μου. Παρόν σε αυτή την εξερεύνηση, μεγαλώνει στην ίδια πόλη με εμένα και μέσα από αυτό, ξαναβλέπω το παρελθόν και το μέλλον που συνυπάρχουν στο ίδιο κάδρο. Η πόλη παύει να είναι μόνο χώρος· γίνεται σύνδεση χρόνου.
Η φωτογραφική μου εργασία είναι ένα προσωπικό ντοκουμέντο· είναι μια διαρκής συνομιλία με τον τόπο, τη μνήμη και τη μεταμόρφωση. Μια προσπάθεια να ειπωθεί το ανείπωτο του οικείου.
Bio
Ο Βασίλης Νεμπεγλεριώτης (γεν. 1987) εκφράζει τη φαντασία του μέσω της φωτογραφίας από το 2017. Είναι αυτοδίδακτος και έχει συμμετάσχει σε σεμινάρια φωτογραφίας και σκηνοθεσίας κινηματογράφου. Ήταν μέλος της φωτογραφικής ομάδας Fplus. Με έδρα τη Λάρισα.
Φωτογραφίες του έχουν παρουσιαστεί σε ομαδικές εκθέσεις (Anthropause- Momus), σε διεθνή φεστιβάλ φωτογραφίας (Thessaloniki Photobiennale 2023, Photometria International Festival – Parallel Voices 2020, Antiparos International Photo Festival – Wild Side 2021).

Vasilis Nempegleriotis – City of A
Built in the heart of the Thessalian plain, Larissa has been continuously inhabited for thousands of years. From the ancient acropolis of the Fortress Hill to the church of Saint Achilleios and the modern concrete city blocks, the city carries upon it layers of time and life — a liminal place between an agricultural past and an urban present.
In this tableau, I return to the streets where I grew up, seeking through photographic wandering my inner landscape. With me, my child — present in this exploration, growing up in the same city as I once did. Through them, I see anew the coexistence of past and future within the same frame. The city ceases to be merely a space; it becomes a connection of time.
My photographic work is a personal document — an ongoing dialogue with place, memory, and transformation. An attempt to give voice to the unspoken within the familiar.
Bio
Vasilis Nempegleriotis (b.1987) express his fantasy through the medium of photography, since 2017. He is self-taught and has participated in photography seminars and film direction. He was member of Fplus photography group. Based in Larissa, central Greece.
His photographs have been featured in group exhibitions (Anthropause- Momus), International photography festivals (Thessaloniki Photobiennale 2023, Photometria International Festival – Parallel Voices 2020, Antiparos International Photo Festival – Wild Side 2021)
