Το project ξεκίνησε με αφορμή την καραντίνα, τον αναγκαστικό αποκλεισμό μας μέσα σε ένα σπίτι, σε τέσσερις τοίχους από τους οποίους δεν υπάρχει τρόπος διαφυγής . Το αίσθημα ότι πρέπει να παραμείνεις δημιουργικός ενώ όλα γύρω σου έχουν παγώσει. Το αίσθημα της αναζήτησης και επαναδιαπραγμάτευσης της «κανονικότητας» όποια είναι αυτή και ό,τι σημαίνει για τον καθένα/καθεμία. Προσπαθώντας να μην ξεχάσεις πως ήταν πριν, να παραμένεις δυνατός/η – να σκέφτεσαι και να επανεκτιμάς τις σταθερές σου αξίες. Μια σειρά αυτοπορτρέτων που συνεχίζεται μέχρι σήμερα. Με τη λήξη του lockdown και με τη δυνατότητα της μετακίνησης το project συμπεριλαμβάνει και κάποια πορτραίτα ανθρώπων σε άλλα μέρη στο ίδιο ύφος – επιβεβαιώνοντας όλα τα παραπάνω.
Bio
Ονομάζομαι Αριάδνη Φυτοπούλου, ζω στην Αθήνα και μεγάλωσα στην Κέρκυρα. Σπούδασα Ιστορία και Φιλοσοφία της Επιστήμης στο ΕΚΠΑ και παρακολούθησα μεταξύ άλλων online σεμινάρια Arts Managment του Central Sait Martins(UAL). Από το 2016 εργάζομαι στο θέατρο “Φούρνος”, το πρώτο εναλλακτικό θέατρο της Αθήνας.
Είμαι αυτοδίδακτη φωτογράφος και η φωτογραφία είναι μέρος της καθημερινότητάς μου, καθώς είναι το μέσο με το οποίο εκφράζομαι
και με βοηθάει να αντιληφθώ τον κόσμο, μέσα από τη δική μου ματιά.

A quarantine, self-portrait project- in progress, about testing yourself in weird situations and learning how to use your weapons. Confined within four walls. That feeling of being trapped – that you can’t escape. You don’t have to be creative and happy – you may accept the reality and just stay strong, positive and in solidarity with each other.
And most importantly, never forget the voice, the taste, the sound, the smell and the touch of all the beauties in your life -a reminder to reevaluate the necessity of realizing what we do have in our lives. And to remember that some aspects of happiness are a choice.

Bio
My name is Ariadne Fytopoulou and I live in Athens. I grew up in Corfu island and I studied History and Philosophy of Science in Univercity of Athens, I got certificated in Arts Management course (Central Saint Martins, UAL). During the last five years I have been working in culture, at “Fournos Centre for Digital Art”, the first alternative theatre scene in Athens.
I am a self-taught photographer and photography is a part of my everyday life. It is my way to experience the world and to express myself with my point of view.
