Who owns it – is bitterly poor.
Who is successful – is damaged.

Departure
I know if you ever leave my sight
as a women, naked as out of the water,
then I won’t be able to call you,
in case I call death from its rose.
But it might be a good death, if you still have a crotch
to shine down on my day,
it’ll taste like a nebula, from the sky’s deepest cellar
and have the white scent of travel.
When I put my humble tongue to it
my ear will hear the roar of collapsing earth.
And I don’t know what you’ll do when I shut my eyes,
and I fly, with the bed, to Venus.

PS.The project is officially printed in a limited edition book, entitled “Who loves it – stays alone”.
The book was designed by visual artist Vasiliki Dourouklaki and will be available at photo book festivals throughout the year.

Bio:
Karol Jarek was born in 1982 in Poland. He graduated in Philosophy from Wroclaw University. As a photographer he has cooperated with The Grotowski Institute, ZAR Theatre, Roger Bernat/FFF, Athens Festival, National Theatre of Greece, National Theatre of Northen Greece, Theseum Ensemble, Kursk, Studio Matejka, Song of the Goat Theater, Jubilo, Moon Fool, Teatr Andra, Horos Theatre Company, PYR, Elephas Tiliensis, Honey and Dust, Vasistas, ODC Ensemble, Retrospectiva Company and many others. His works has been shown in Neue Neue Galerie (documenta14, Kassel), the Contemporary Art Museum in Wroclaw, in the ArtBrut Gallery and in the Grotowski Institute. He is the author of “Disappointed poem”, a photobook developed in collaboration with Zoetrope Athens. He is a founding member of Teatr Andra in Istanbul, Transatlantic Group in Athens and founder of I want punks.
