Δέσποινα Αποστολίδου – Θαλάσσιος Ασφόδελος
Λευκή σταγόνα γάλα ακούμπησες στη γη, από Θεάς το στήθος. Ο άνεμος σε παρέσυρε κι άγγιξες το κύμα. Ίδιο στεφάνι ολόλευκο στης κόρης το κεφάλι, μα ολομόναχο αναζητάς το ταίρι στον σκοτεινό βυθό της θάλασσας. Και σαν σε κράτησε το χέρι της, ζωή σου έδωσε πάλι. Ξάφνου στα μάτια της φως κι ένας ταξιδευτής, ίδιος καθρέφτης σου, ζωντάνεψε εμπρός σου. Ευθύς ήρθε το σμίξιμο μες στα ακροδάχτυλά της. Λίκνισμα κι αισθαντικός χορός σας παρασέρνει πιο βαθιά, σε απύθμενα σκοτάδια, μέχρι να συναντήσετε Ασφόδελο Λειμώνα…

Bio
Η Δέσποινα Αποστολίδου γεννήθηκε στις Σέρρες το 1968. Από το 1987 ζει και εργάζεται στην Θεσσαλονίκη και είναι υπάλληλος του Δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης. Είναι ερασιτέχνης φωτογράφος από το 2014. Έχει παρακολουθήσει τα σεμινάρια φωτογραφίας της Φωτογραφικής Ομάδας «Φ» και είναι ενεργό μέλος της Λέσχης της ομάδας από το 2014 έως σήμερα.
Έχει παρουσιάσει ατομική δουλειά στη Λέσχη Φωτογραφίας «Φ», έχει κάνει μια ατομική έκθεση με τίτλο «Πορτραίτα» στο Βαφοπούλειο Πνευματικό Ίδρυμα Θεσσαλονίκης, ατομική δημόσια έκθεση με τίτλο «απουσίες στην ζωή και στην τέχνη» την Ημέρα της Γυναίκας με την Αντιδημαρχία Πολιτισμού του Τμήματος Βαφοπουλείου Πνευματικού Κέντρου Θεσσαλονίκης και ατομική έκθεση με τίτλο «Mirror” στην Κεντρική Δημοτική Βιβλιοθήκη του Δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης.
Πρόσφατα, τον Νοέμβριο του 2024, είχε την επιμέλεια της φωτογραφίας της έκθεση με τίτλο « Στους δρόμους των ιστορικών μνημείων των δύο πόλεων» που συνδιοργάνωσε ο Δήμος Θεσσαλονίκης με το Δήμο Σόφιας.
Μέρος της δουλειάς της παρουσιάστηκε σε τρεις διαφορετικές διοργανώσεις του περιοδικού ΦΩΤΟγράφος καθώς και στη Photometria, σε περιοδικό της Ιταλίας pixels photo magazine, στην εφημερίδα ΑΠΕ-ΜΠΕ με θέμα: «Σχολικά αρχεία του 19ου και 20ού αιώνα αφηγούνται την εκπαιδευτική ιστορία της πόλης» σε επετειακό εξώφυλλο βιβλίου του Κέντρου Ιστορίας Θεσσαλονίκης.
Επιπλέον, έχει λάβει μέρος σε μια ομαδική έκθεση των υπαλλήλων του Δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης, έχει συμμετάσχει σε διάφορους διαγωνισμούς και εκθέσεις στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό όπως, για παράδειγμα, στην iFocusGallery με θέμα: την Ελλάδα, στο Κίεβο της Ουκρανίας με θέμα: πορτραίτο, στην Σιένα της Ιταλίας με θέμα: αρχιτεκτονική, στη γκαλερί Myrό, στο Βαλκανικό Βοτανικό κήπο Κρουσίων, στο Istangram my Grecce, στην philoxenia της ΔΕΘ, στο σύλλογο καλλιτεχνών εικαστικών Χαλκιδικής, στο Φεστιβάλ contrast.
Έχει συμμετάσχει σε 27 ομαδικές εκθέσεις στην Ελλάδα και στην Κύπρο, σε ομαδική έκθεση με τίτλο “Εκείνη” της Photometria και σε ομαδική έκθεση με τίτλο «Moments Collective’ International Photography Exhibition at HAU».

Despoina Apostolidou – Sea Asphodel
A white drop of milk thou hast touched the earth, from the breast of a goddess. The wind carried you away and you touched the wave. Same crown of all-white on the daughter’s head, But all alone thou seek’st thy mate in the dark bottom of the sea. And as she held your hand, she gave you life again. Suddenly in her eyes light and a traveller, thy mirror, came alive before thee. Soon there came the fusion in her fingertips. Swaying and sensual dance drags you deeper, into fathomless darkness, until you meet Asphodel Limon…

Bio
Despina Apostolidou was born in Serres in 1968. Since 1987 she lives and works in Thessaloniki and is an employee of the Municipality of Thessaloniki. She is an amateur photographer since 2014. She has attended the photography seminars of the Photography Group “F” and is an active member of the group’s club since 2014 until today.
She has presented solo work at the Photography Club “F”, has had a solo exhibition entitled “Portraits” at the Vafopouleio Cultural Foundation of Thessaloniki, a solo public exhibition entitled “Absences in life and art” on Women’s Day with the Vice Mayoralty of Culture of the Department of Vafopouleio Cultural Centre of Thessaloniki and a solo exhibition entitled “Mirror” at the Central Municipal Library of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and a solo exhibition entitled “Mirror” at the Central Municipal Library of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
Recently, in November 2024, she curated the photography exhibition entitled “On the streets of the historical monuments of the two cities” co-organized by the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the Municipality of Sofia.
Part of her work was presented in three different events of Fotografos magazine as well as in Photometria, in Italy’s pixels photo magazine, in the newspaper APE-MPE with the theme: “19th and 20th century school archives tell the educational history of the city” in an anniversary book cover of the Thessaloniki History Centre, in.
In addition, she has participated in a group exhibition of the employees of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, has participated in various competitions and exhibitions in Greece and abroad, such as, for example, in the iFocusGallery on the theme: Greece, in Kiev, Ukraine on the theme: portrait, in Siena, Italy on the theme: architecture, in Myró Gallery, in the Balkan Botanical Garden of Kroussia, in Istangram my Grecce, in the philoxenia of the TIF, in the association of visual artists of Halkidiki, in the contrast Festival.
