“Δυάδες” που επικαλούνται και πιστοποιούν το συν- ή το αντί- της συνάντησης ως αμυχής, μικρής ή μεγάλης τομής ή και επούλωσης. Με σημεία στίξης ή και χωρίς. Σε επίπεδο ταυτολογίας (παρόν ή και απόν το αντικείμενο αναφοράς) ή και τυχαιότητας. Το punctum κατά Roland Barthes, εν προκειμένω, είναι το τυχαίο που από μόνο του με παρακινεί, με κεντά και με ελευθερώνει.
Obscura and Lucida
– Συν και τυγχάνουμε εδώ και καιρό,
ήρθε ο καιρός να γνωριστούμε.
– Θα σε πω obscura and lucida.
– Θα σε πω κοχύλι και μέγγενη.
– Αν θες να ξέρεις, μάθε πως έχω μία ακόμα
λέξη φυλαγμένη στον αυχένα. Μόνο γιατί
κάθισες πλάι μου, όπως κάθισα πλάι σου.
– Είπες φυλαγμένη;
– Αυτό είπα.

Η Μαρία Καντ (Καντωνίδου) γεννήθηκε στην Κύπρο και ζει στην Αθήνα. Αγαπάει ιδιαίτερα τη γραφή και τη φωτογραφία – motto της, η τέχνη δεν είναι μονοφωνική. Κείμενα και φωτογραφίες της έχουν δημοσιευθεί σε έντυπα και ηλεκτρονικά περιοδικά, καθώς και σε συλλογικούς τόμους. Η πρώτη της ποιητική συλλογή “stanza”, εκδόσεις Gutenberg 2021, όπου το κείμενο συναντά τη φωτογραφία και αντίστροφα, συμπεριλήφθηκε στη βραχεία λίστα των Βραβείων Κοινού Public 2022, των Λογοτεχνικών Βραβείων του περιοδικού Αναγνώστη 2022 και των Βραβείων “Jean Moréas 2022″. Η συλλογή τιμήθηκε, επίσης, με το Βραβείο “Γιάννη Βαρβέρη” της Εταιρείας Συγγραφέων Ελλάδας και με το Κρατικό Βραβείο Ποίησης της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας.

“Twos” that invoke and certify the co- and the counter- coexisting in a meeting or an encounter, taken as a scar, a small or big cut and/or a process of healing. With or without punctuation marks. Invoked as a tautology (the object of reference being either present or absent) and/or randomness. The punctum of the photograph in this case, as defined by Roland Barthes, is taken to be the incidental detail that draws me in, pricks me and frees me unrelated to any cultural or other code.
Obscura and Lucida
– We’ve been co(n) and versing for quite some time,
it’s time we met.
– I shall call you obscura and lucida.
– I shall call you a shell and a vise
– If you must know, I have one more word kept
for you in my throat. Only because you sat
next to me the way I sat next to you.
– You said kept?
– Yes, I said kept.

Βio
Maria Kant (Kantonidou) was born in Cyprus, and lives in Athens. She loves writing and taking photos – a motto that expresses her is that art is not monophonic. Her work has been published widely both in electronic and print magazines, as well as in collective works. Her first collection of poetry “stanza” (Gutenberg, 2021), where the text meets photography and vice versa, was shortlisted for the “Public Book Awards 2022”, “Reader Magazine Literary Awards 2022” and the “Jean Moréas Awards 2022” for emerging poets. The collection also received the “Yiannis Varveris” award from the Hellenic Authors’ Society and the State Prize for Poetry from the Republic of Cyprus.
